Music in family
Create musical memories with your baby! At the Reggio Emilia International School Sevilla, we offer music workshops for babies from 0 to 3 years old and one or two accompanying persons who participate! Develop the emotional connection and stimulate your baby’s sensory development through sung, played, and danced music.
Music and movement
This activity is based on the idea that the body is our first musical instrument. It is one of the most effective ways to introduce music at an early age and is designed for children aged 3 to 6.
Its aim is to support children’s overall development through sensory and physical exploration of sound. Rather than studying abstract theory, children experience music through play and movement, developing their sense of rhythm and melody, as well as their coordination and concentration. When practised regularly, this type of work also strengthens and enriches neural connections.
Musical initiation
This programme is designed for children aged 6 to 8 and uses the voice, musical instruments, rhythmic games and movement activities to explore the different elements of music: rhythm, melody and harmony. It also introduces children to reading and writing music.
Learning is always based on practical musical experience, with particular emphasis on developing listening skills, melodic awareness and rhythmic coordination. These classes also prepare children for the official entrance examinations for the music conservatories in Seville.
Introduction to Dance
As part of its performing arts programme, the school also offers introductory dance classes designed to help students gain a basic understanding of the steps and choreography associated with classical dance (ballet) and Spanish dance (flamenco).
Through contemporary ballet, students also develop improvisation, creativity and physical expression. The programme includes preparation for the entrance examinations for the first year of basic dance studies at the conservatory. The more previous experience a student has, the greater their chances of achieving the best possible results.
This programme is designed for children aged 3 to 8.
School support
Sevilla Reggio Emilia School offers tutoring classes for Primary and High School students who need to strengthen a subject or curricular skill, applying their innovative teaching methods.
