Pedagogy Based
on Listening

This approach represents a specific way of understanding childhood and adolescence, emphasizing democratic dialogue with families, the community, and culture. It is grounded in the firm belief that every person is competent from birth and possesses multiple “languages,” including their unique talents and interests.

Listening is the core mission of everyone in the school community. It refers to the ability to connect with what is truly happening at any given moment—within oneself, with others, and in the surrounding environment. This requires time, patience, and careful attention. By listening to ourselves, we can become aware of our feelings, needs, and how to address them. From this self-connection, we are better able to listen to others: understanding how they feel, what they need, and how we can contribute. A pedagogy of listening translates into being fully present and responsive to life as it unfolds, with all its light and shadow, in its fullness and mystery, and with whatever it brings at that moment.

Commitment
and responsibility

One of the school’s main objectives is to guide students in close partnership with families, grounded in values that support human development. Core human values include respect, empathy, autonomy, tolerance, trust, responsibility, effort, communication, and problem-solving. Through daily interactions and community life, students are provided with the tools to navigate life effectively, while learning English at the same level of emphasis as their native language.

Each student follows a personalized learning path, discovering how they can contribute to the world they live in and belong to. To support this, the school provides time and spaces that encourage exploration, reflection, and collaboration, allowing students to develop as individuals while engaging with the community. Academic learning is deepened through active research and documentation, always starting from real-life experiences and daily interactions.

Love and beauty

Human beings need to trust that the world is good in order to live in health, peace, and harmony.

Beauty attracts more beauty and fosters a society that faces life and the world with heightened sensitivity.
