Committed to Respectful Learning

Enrollment for the next academic year at Sevilla Reggio Emilia School is now open. This bilingual school offers an arts-based educational program, with a particular focus on nature and everyday life. Here, children’s well-being is nurtured, and childhood is supported by respecting each child’s natural rhythms and emotional needs.

Children live, experiment, and explore the world around them, creating a meaningful connection between school, family, childhood, and the city, all within a carefully designed environment that promotes educational quality, calmness, and positive energy.

At Sevilla Reggio Emilia School, students start the week by going on a group outing to buy supplies, singing along the way. They listen to captivating stories about magic, giants, and treasures, discuss their thoughts, and plant seeds while learning values and ideas.

Reggio Emilia is an educational philosophy that views the child as a human being full of potential and competencies from birth. Children learn and grow in relation to others and the world around them. The foundation of this approach is the Hundred Languages of Children—a metaphor for the many ways humans can express knowledge. These multiple languages allow children, adolescents, and adults in the Atelier to access the world in diverse ways, engaging hands, thoughts, and emotions simultaneously.

Sevilla Reggio Emilia School bases learning on wonder and motivation, balanced with the need to practice skills, as one-off experiences alone cannot generate learning. Our spaces are treated as active agents in education, designed in detail and moving beyond traditional classroom roles such as lab, gym, cafeteria, or playground—favoring a more holistic and contextualized education.

The school integrates all areas of the early childhood, primary, and secondary curriculum through the pedagogy of listening, validating emotions, setting respectful boundaries, and using aesthetics as a third educator in a transdisciplinary approach. This method fosters high levels of educational excellence, uncovers individual talents, and cultivates what each student can contribute to the world.

Additionally, through musical interpretation, children from age 2 learn to focus attention, self-regulate, and interact within a community—all in a bilingual context. By age 8, students reach musical and bodily expression levels equivalent to a conservatory. At Sevilla Reggio Emilia School, extracurricular activities and optional assignments are offered as opportunities, rather than necessities, respecting both school hours and children’s personal time.
